Apple’s Unreleased Gold iPhone X Revealed In An FCC Filing
If you’ve been looking out for a gold iPhone X, you may be in luck as iPhone fans might be in for a real special treat. The amazing news is that a filing from Apple at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has revealed images of an unreleased gold version of the iPhone X.
The filing from Apple at the Federal Communications Commission reveals the images of a gold iPhone X that has yet to be released. The 180-day confidentiality period on the photos has now lapsed, offering a clear view of an iPhone X with a glass backplate featuring the same gold tone as the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus released in September. MacRumors first spotted the now-public photographs. The stainless steel sides are also a shade of gold.
The Federal Communications Committee (of all places) has published several photos of what appears to be a gold-coloured iPhone X – a shade of Apple"s smartphone that hasn"t been announced or released yet.
Leading up to last year’s iPhone event, it had been reported that Apple was working on a gold version of the iPhone X, but that colour was never shown on stage, and Apple went with only two colour choices: space gray and white/silver. Presumably the company ran into unforeseen manufacturing obstacles with the gold one. It has been reported that Apple is working on a gold version of the iPhone X’s successor, so the company will be giving it another try in a few months.

From the released image which has a multi screen panel, an LCD light display, an earpiece recover, and a Facetime camera which is located on the front face of the device, while on the side which has a ring/silent switch, Volume button and lastly the backside of the gold plated cover device which has a rear camera, microphone and Flash light.
Had Apple used one of those iPhone X colours for its FCC filing, we wouldn’t have gotten these photos of the gold model and a rare look at an unreleased Apple product. The images arrive on the very same day that Bloomberg revealed an internal Apple memo with a stern warning against leaking confidential information , also explaining in a lengthy memo posted to its internal blog that it "caught 29 leakers," last year and noted that 12 of those were arrested. "These people not only lose their jobs, they can face extreme difficulty finding employment elsewhere."
However, the release of the gold plated iPhone X image also marks the release of a fourth, red colour choice for the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus. But for now there’s no red option for the iPhone X.
