Instagram Is Testing Tapping Through Posts Instead Of Scrolling

Instagram is testing a new method of navigating posts – just by tapping through them, rather than scrolling. First spotted by an Instagram user Suprateek Bose recently published a screenshot of a feature Instagram is testing in the app that allows you to “tap through posts, just like you tap through stories.” The feature, which is apparently only available to a small number of users, would effectively replace the scrolling feature that lets you see posts. [xyz-ihs snippet="IG-tap"] The tap-to-advance feature was first introduced by Snapchat, reducing the user-effort of repeatedly using thumb strokes, thus creating a more relaxing browsing experience. The new change indicates that instead of using your finger to scroll up and down through the Instagram posts, you would now tap on either side of the interface to move forward and back. Instagram Adds A Shopping Tab To The Explore Page

Like what you see on your favourite Instagram influencers but tired of never getting a reply to your “where can I buy that?” or how much do it cost?  questions?—Instagram has sensed your frustrations and has decided to make it easier for users to not only know where the items are from, but also purchase them directly on the platform. The photo-sharing platform starting testing the Shopping in Stories feature in June . Now brand accounts can insert shopping links in their Stories, so users can easily view pricing for and links to buy the items featured. Instagram says Shopping in Stories lets brands "tell an even deeper story about what’s behind their products." Telling an even deeper story, in this case, seems to mean selling you stuff. At the F8 developers conference, Facebook announces a bunch of new Instagram Features. Due to these new features, no doubt, Instagram has become the most frequently used app and is estimated to be worth more than $100 Billion with over 1 billion user worldwide . Photo sharing platform has announced new features for the service that include the following: Video Chat, new camera effects, and Topic channels on Explore. Today, those features are live. Video Chat in Instagram Direct Instagram users can now start a one-on-one video chat or a group video chat with up to four people in Instagram Direct.
