Opera Becomes First Major Desktop Browser To Integrate In-built Cryptocurrency Wallet

Image
Opera web browser is now the first of the major browsers to include a cryptocurrency wallet and by doing this, they have removed the need for third party extensions thereby increasing the security of such transactions for users.  This desktop wallet supports major cryptocurrencies like Ethereum and synchronises with the mobile version (Opera for Android) which was announced back in June. In a statement by Opera’s EVP of Browsers, Krystian Kolondra he said “after making crypto payments smooth and easy on mobile, we wanted the find the perfect solution for PCs. Chrome Will Remove Secure Label On HTTPS Sites From September

Image
The Chrome browser"s upcoming versions will focus on highlighting its negative security indicators, even going as far as sunsetting its positive ones. Chrome Security Product Manager Emily Schechter has announced in a blog post that Chrome 69, which will be available in September, will stop marking HTTPS sites as "Secure" on the address bar. Why? Well, because Google wants the default state to be secure. Emily Schechter, explained that the company is now comfortable making this move as a large chunk of Chrome"s traffic is now via HTTPS. Since most traffic is HTTPS anyway, it"s not necessary to draw the user"s attention to the "Secure" indicator anymore. Instead, Chrome will focus on highlighting situations when the user is accessing an insecure HTTP website. That"s why, Google will be marking all HTTP sites as "Not Secure" starting with Chrome 68, set for release in July. Although, the “Secure” indicator in Google’s UI was never...

The search giant has started testing the Chrome design in the latest Canary developer builds of the web browser, allowing anyone to get an early look at what Google is experimenting with. The most obvious addition is a new address bar with rounded tabs that look really ugly on the desktop version of Chrome. Google’s rounded corners on tabs look a lot more like Firefox’s old design, and they look very different to the current trapezoid-like shaped tabs found in the existing version of Chrome. 9to5Google first reported the new design which Google published in an updated Material Design document , that references a “Material Design Refresh” instead of the “Material Design 2” naming we...
