Image
With the advent of toll-free, using vanity numbers end up being an effective marketing strategy for some successful businesses. Vanity numbers are numbers having an alphanumeric-correspondent to numbers of a phone. Every letter possesses a parallel number on the keypad of a phone. These are the letters, which are utilized to make the vanity numbers. They are mostly used for businesses however with time individuals are also adjusting them to be used for the home as well as personal use.  A vanity number also is a number that spells a company"s brand name. For instance, a company that sells books can have a number such as; 1-800-BOOKS that is precisely the same as 1-800-26657. In spite of the fact that customers will dial the toll-free number in digits, a vanity number will provide them with the convenience to dial the digits that represent the company"s brand name.  Despite the extent of your business, you can pick to reach your customers by acquiring vanity number. The iPhone XS Dual SIM Feature May Be A Big Deal But Could Be Too Little Too Late As Well

Image
Apple announced its new phones, the iPhone XS and XS Max yesterday and with the announcement came the reviews and analysis. One standout thing though that I think wasn’t seriously emphasised was that Apple is now a dual SIM device player; something Samsung and other major players have since implemented in emerging markets and have seen growth over the years. Before we take a look at this, let’s talk about what a dual SIM iPhone XS looks like and how it works. With the most recent 2018 iPhone X lineup, Apple has bet everything with double SIM abilities found on each of the three models presented today-the iPhone XS, the iPhone XS Max and the iPhone XR. The manner in which Apple has executed this element contrasts for telephones sold in China and telephones sold in whatever is left of the world. [caption id="attachment_12676" align="aligncenter" width="600"] The Chinese variant of the iPhone XS and XS Max come with dual SIM capabilities [/caption] The Chine...

Microsoft Is Redesigning Skype Once Again And Killing Its Snapchat-like Feature

Image
Skype gets yet another redesign. Microsoft announced it is all set to redesign Skype. The technology company is working on removing the Highlights feature in an effort to simplify the user experience on the platform. Since acquiring the online messaging service in 2011 Microsoft has rolled out several redesigns and new features, although not always to much fanfare. Last year, the company launched a new Highlights feature seemingly styled after Snapchat’s Stories , which allows users to post photos and videos which their friends could view, but for now the feature is been dropped. A blog post from Skype admitted that Highlights “didn’t resonate with a majority of users”, and set out its aim to focus on the core messaging features its community is actually making use of. On mobile, the app is slimming down to three navigation buttons for Chats, Calls, and Contacts along a bottom bar, while the desktop app is grouping them with the Notifications button at the top-...

The proposed all-stock deal values Sprint at about $59 billion and while T. Mobile is valued at $146 billion. The combined company will be based in Bellevue Washington and will be called T-Mobile. Current T-Mobile CEO John Legere will run the combined company, while T-Mobile COO Mike Sievert will become the new company’s COO and President. T-Mobile’s major...

Image
With so much deliberation, plans and confirmation by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) over the sale of one of the largest telecommunication service (9 mobile) in Nigeria, the plans came to a halt when Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court, Abuja stopped the sale of 9mobile because stakeholders of the company are not part of the acquisition process. This ruling came after the preferred bidder, Teleology Holdings, made a down payment of $50 million being the 10% non-refundable fee for the acquisition of 9mobile and which comes with a 90-day deadline to complete the payment as confirmed by The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC). According to Vanguard , Justice Nyako gave the order to stop the sale of the telecommunication firm while ruling on an ex parte motion brought by the aggrieved shareholders of 9mobile that took the matter to court , complaining of being left out in the telecommunications company’s decision-making process. The plaintiffs — Afdin...

5G Race: China Narrowly Ahead Of South Korea And The US

Image
A newly released report 5G report says China is currently the most ready followed by South Korea and then the United states. The report by CTIA notes though that many countries may be finally making the right investment to make this a reality. While much of the world is still reaping the benefits of the 4G, it looks like 5G promises more on return on investment. Take the United States for example, the report notes that the wireless industry is ready to pump in as much as $275 billion which they say could end up creating 3 million new jobs and another $500 billion to the nation’s GDP.                                                            While China leads the charge right now, it looks like its narrow but China is not one to back out from such a race as investment in technology has sky rocketed in the last decade alone.
