Gboard Now Uses AI To Suggest GIFs, Stickers, And Emoji

Gboard is already very familiar with GIFs, stickers, and emoji, since you can search for them from within the keyboard. However, today’s update automatically surfaces relevant GIFs, stickers, and emoji without the need to search for them. According to Google’s blog post. Gboard will automatically use AI to suggest the aforementioned content. For example, when you type out a phrase like “Good morning,” the “G” logo on the top-left corner of the suggestions strip changes to a GIF button. Tapping the GIF button shows you relevant GIFs, stickers, and emoji. Google was spotted testing the new update with a small group of users back in September. You Can Now Send GIFs From Giphy In Instagram Direct

GIFs can now be added to messages on Instagram Direct. In a blog post , Instagram announced that tapping the new GIF button in the composer bar in any message thread will bring up a library of trending GIFs, powered by Giphy.  It’s already part of the Instagram toolkit by way of Story Stickers, which allow you to put moving images on top of your Story posts. So the inclusion of it in the DMs isn’t too drastic of a change. Starting today, Instagram Direct will have a GIF button on the composition bar. When you click on it, you’ll be shown a library of the latest trending GIFs, as determined by Giphy itself. If “trending” doesn’t really suit your needs, you can also search for the exact reaction you want. If you’re feeling lucky, you can just type the general search term and hit “random,” meaning Giphy will send your friend the GIF it deems most appropriate for the scenario. Google Buys GIF Platform Tenor To Make It Easier To Find And Share GIFs

How often do you use GIF? It could be a way of expressing a feeling, a gesture or a remark. GIF is one of the basic tools most people add to their messages via social media platforms to help spice up their conversations. Google has added the GIF platform Tenor among it"s list of acquisitions owned by the company. Tenor, a four-year-old startup that attracts about 300 million people per month to its GIF search tool, where more than 12 billion search requests are made per month. It will continue to run under the Tenor brand within Google. Google stated that the startup will help Google Images and other products that use GIFs such as Gboard chat to help the search giant show users “the right GIFs in the moment” that matches the users mood.
